Sunday Gratitude

El Presidio Real de San Francisco, 2013

An early morning walk.
Olive toast topped with soft scrambled eggs and close to caramelized red Shishito peppers and onions.
Squinting sunflowers in a Ball jar.

If you have not tasted soft scrambled eggs, you should.
Here's a recipe.

  1. I love Sunday and I live to feel grateful.

And I love my eggs soft scrambled.

    Hence, perfect post.

  2. Beautiful post--like a poem. You make me miss SF--I can smell the eucalyptus.

    1. Thanks, Jen. Some of those eucalyptus in The Presidio are truly majestic.

  6. I haven't tasted proper soft scrambled eggs but now I'm tempted. What a lovely Sunday morning. Mine - a week later - looks utterly different. Solid rain, leaves dark gold and green and the smell of soaked earth. Woodburner. Lots of ginger tea...

  7. Your Sunday is quite different, beautiful in a different way. You've put me in the mood for tea. Thank you. I have two new teas I've been neglecting. I hope you try the eggs and enjoy them.

  8. oh the mascarpone addition sounds heavenly. Almost guilty. But then topping with caramelized red Shishito peppers and onions? that is definitively sinful, in all the best ways!

    1. I actually made them without any sort of mascarpone or cream addition and just the simple eggs prepared in this way were delicious.
